School Library Journal Review Growing Up Green

A wonderful review from The School Library Journal's February Issue. This New York Journal goes out to Libraries across North America. It is the world's largest reveiwer of books and multimedia for children and teens. Magic Puddle is thrilled to share this review with you.
"Growing Up Green. CD. approx. 33 min. Pamela Sunshine. 2010. $14.99. K-Gr 3–In re-releasing her album from the early 1990s in CD format, Pamela Southwell, aka Pamela Sunshine, has updated the arrangements of the 10 songs. Hailing from England and Canada, Southwell’s vocals are sweet and clear in such diverse musical styles as folk, bluegrass, and calypso. Several musicians give terrific performances on guitar, slide guitar, violin, and keyboards. Her environmental message comes through clearly in “Growing Up Green,” “On Your Bike,” “Garbage Free Sea,” “Turn Off the Tap,” “Ten Empty Pop Cans” (recycling), “Sun and Rain,” “Litter Matters,” “Home Sweet Homes” (animal habitats), “The Walking Song” (cumulative song), and “Very Green Song.” This pleasant album will enhance environmental resources for children."
